The HITRIplus EU-funded project is proud to announce the Hadron Therapy Symposium, a hybrid event set to take place from October 18-21, 2024, in Thessaloniki, Greece. This event brings together leading experts in the field to discuss the current status and future advancements in hadron therapy, offering a unique platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The symposium includes two key events:
- Hadron Therapy Workshop (October 18-19, 2024):
This workshop will explore the latest developments in hadron therapy, from its scientific evolution to its socio-economic benefits. It will also focus on the progress and future plans for next-generation hadron therapy facilities. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 3rd IAEA Regional Workshop on Hadron Therapy. Led by top professionals, this masterclass will cover advanced techniques in treatment planning for hadron therapy, offering practical insights for clinicians and researchers alike. More information.
With over 30 world-renowned speakers, including representatives from leading hadron therapy centers and research institutions across Europe, participants can expect discussions on topics such as pediatric oncology, innovative treatment techniques, and the integration of emerging therapies like FLASH and immunotherapy with hadron therapy.
Attendance is free, and the event is open to both in-person and virtual participants. Registration is required, and Zoom links will be provided to registered attendees. For those unable to attend, all presentations will be recorded and made available online after the event.
